MIT School of Science Postdoctoral Fellowship, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Awarded three years of independent funding through the MIT School of Science Postdoctoral Fellowship Program to support my postdoctoral research aiming to advance the state-of-the-art in quantum chemistry and allied disciplines. This prestigious and highly competitive three-year fellowship is granted to a cohort of world-class scientists who are conducting research across disciplinary boundaries. In addition to their research, fellows in the cohort will participate in leadership, mentorship and professional development training. This fellowship starts in Fall 2025.
IBM-Zerner Graduate Award, 64th Sanibel Symposium, Saint Augustine Beach, Florida
The IBM-Zerner Graduate Student Award is a prestigious honor presented annually at the Sanibel Symposium, organized by the University of Florida's Quantum Theory Project. This award recognizes outstanding research contributions by graduate students in the fields of quantum chemistry, dynamics, condensed matter physics, and their biological applications. The Sanibel Symposium, established in 1961, serves as a platform to promote collaboration and communication among experts in quantum theory and related fields.

In recognition of my significant contributions to the development and application of electron propagator theory, I was invited to join Sigma Xi as a Full Member. (Sigma Xi membership is by invitation only) This prestigious honor is awarded to researchers whose scholarly achievements have advanced scientific knowledge in their respective fields. Sigma Xi is one of the oldest and most respected scientific societies, dedicated to promoting excellence in research and fostering collaboration across disciplines.

ACS East Alabama West Georgia Local Section Travel Award, American Chemical Society
I am a recipient of the ACS East Alabama-West Georgia (EAWG) Local Section Travel Award, which supports students presenting their research at major scientific conferences. This award enabled me to attend the 64th Sanibel Symposium, a premier conference in theoretical and computational chemistry. Attending this symposium provided me with the opportunity to present my research, engage with leading experts in the field, and exploring cutting-edge developments in quantum chemistry. I am grateful to the EAWG Local Section of the American Chemical Society for their support in fostering my academic and professional growth.
Distinguished Future Faculty, Preparing Future Faculty Program, Auburn University
I was nominated by the Academic Dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics at Auburn University to participate in the Preparing Future Faculty Program. This competitive, semester-long professional development program is designed to prepare Ph.D. candidates for academic careers. Through workshops and mentorship, I gained insights into pedagogy, research and teaching statement writing, the faculty interview process, academic responsibilities, and career preparation. Upon completion, I was awarded the "Distinguished Future Faculty" honor for exceeding the program’s standard requirements and demonstrating excellence.
Chemical Computing Group Excellence Award, COMP Division, American Chemical Society
Competitive national distinction (one of five awardees), financial reward, CCG's MOE (Molecular Operating Environment) software with a one-year license, honored during a special ceremony at the Fall 2024 meeting. The award is a recognition given to outstanding graduate students who have demonstrated exceptional research accomplishments in the field of computational chemistry or related areas. This award aims to acknowledge the contributions of promising young researchers and to encourage continued excellence in their academic pursuits.
Harry Merriwether Fellowship, Graduate School, Auburn University
The Harry Merriwether Fellowship was established in honor of Harry Merriwether, an outstanding graduate of Auburn University Class of 1943. The Fellowship is granted annually to superior graduate students at Auburn University to recognize and support academic excellence. Recipients of this prestigious fellowship devote themselves full-time to their academic pursuits and contribute meaningfully to their field of study.

The Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award recognizes the distinguished teaching of a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) demonstrated through excellence in the classroom and laboratory. I am the only GTA granted this award (2023/2024 academic year) in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Auburn University, AL.

Graduate Award in Theoretical Chemistry: Finalist, PHYS Division, American Chemical Society
The Graduate Award in Theoretical Chemistry is presented annually by the American Chemical Society's Division of Physical Chemistry (ACS PHYS) to recognize outstanding graduate students in the field of theoretical chemistry. I was one of four finalists for the 2023 cycle sponsored by the ACS Physical Chemistry Theory Subdivision, The Journal of Physical Chemistry, and the Journal of Chemical Physics.

The Helping Hands Service Award, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Auburn University
A service award in recognition of my contribution to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry’s mission of creating a diverse, respectful, and inclusive community that upholds high standards in research, education, and outreach. My efforts through Auburn University Chapter of NOBCChE (President from 2022-2023) seeks to eliminate the systemic barriers that stifle creativity and impede both personal and professional growth of historically underrepresented groups. I have also collaborated with my NOBCChE colleagues to create engaging K-12 outreach events to inspire the next generation of diverse chemists, chemical engineers and innovators who will conduct research leading to more effective and well-rounded advancements.

This award provides travel funds for college of science and mathematics graduate students to present dissertation research works at scientific meetings. I was given this award to support my travel to the American Chemical Society's (ACS) Spring 2023 national meeting in Indianapolis, IN.

Advancing Science Conference Grant, National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE)
The Advancing Science Conference Grant is given to chemistry and chemical engineering graduate and undergraduate students identified as one of the country’s best and brightest emerging scientists to attend and present their research works at the annual NOBCChE national meeting. I was given this grant to attend the Fall 2022, Fall 2023, and Fall 2024 annual meetings in Orlando FL, New Orleans LA, and Orlando FL respectively.
Postgraduate Research Grant, College of Sciences, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana
A research grant awarded to exceptional graduate students in departments within the College of Science at KNUST to conduct projects aligned with the priority areas of each department. I was the first recipient in the department of chemistry.
